I have always been a big fan of "bo-bo sweaters," a.k.a. snowflake sweaters, Scandinavian sweaters, Nordic sweaters, chunky winter sweaters . . . you get the idea.
To me, they're simply best called "bo-bo's." That's mostly because people, including myself, look like bo-bo's when wearing them, and also because it's fun to say. Really, it's become a quite commonplace term around here.
"Gosh, Justin, I really want to find myself a "bo-bo sweater," or "Mom! Look at this great 'bo-bo'!"
Recently, it was a telephone conversation exclaiming, "I just found the most awesome "bo-bo sweater" at the thrift store on half-price day (yes, I even look for sales at thrift stores) for only $3.00. I'm sooo excited."
I didn't even think about it at the time of purchase, but, it turns out, Jax has a "bo-bo sweater" too . . . a matching "bo-bo" nonetheless!
And for those of you reading this who are perhaps old high school or college friends, yes, I'm serious, I actually do love "bo-bo sweaters," and I actually wore this today. thankyouverymuch

I wore it to the library for Storytime with Justin and Jackson.
(I usually wouldn't post a photo of myself from this angle, but, since it's for the sake of the
"bo-bo," I will.)
At the library, we had a wonderful time listening to the librarian read us stories and watching the puppets dance and sing.
(I also enjoyed admiring these mad ceiling light fixtures--hence the orientation of this photo)
Jackson met a chick.
And . . . at the end, we got to see "Silly Willy," my favorite (Jax likes him too).
Honestly, I have a strange affinity for "Silly Willy"--like, I seriously look forward to seeing him on Wednesday mornings. Maybe it's because he reminds me of someone else I dearly love.
Notice the resemblance?
P.S.-- Just to clear up any misconceptions, that photograph of Mags was not staged for the purpose of this blog post; she wears sunglasses quite often.
