I don't think you could have told these two love birds that they would be spending their 4th wedding anniversary at Shriner's Hospital for Children. Or, if you did, they wouldn't have believed you.
Nevertheless, it's true. The important thing is, however, that they are still two love birds. Two much less naive, much more tired, much older-than-their-years love birds. Today, far more than I can say "I'm thankful for four blissful years of marriage," I can say "I'm thankful to be traveling life's difficult journey with the man I love."
So, here's to hoping and believing in another year, Justin! Let's make a pact to spending our next anniversary some place much, much better.
