As the title of this post indidcates, I just had one really great week. After I left my previous job with quite a "bang" (we'll say), things only went ^^ from there. I first visited my mom and dad down in Roanoke, VA for 3 days. During that time, I was blessed with a dinner date with my friend Emily and her wonderful husband, Patrick. Everytime I see this girl, I just want to squeeze her so tight and never let her go. Miss you Em! I also managed to make quite a dent in the cash I'd been saving as of recent. I finally dug deep and found the hidden shopaholic in me. It's amazing what getting rid of one piece of baggage (which shall remain nameless) can do for rekindling the spirit.
When I returned home, my college buddy Lindsey came for a visit. We had so much fun shopping (yes, more), rolling in laugher over "times" we had as Wahoos, and even going to a rather disappointing Caps game in which we lost 6-2. I was so sad to see her drive off into the falling snow on Sunday night. Today, however, I had a great day with my neighbor Nathalie. We just hit the town for lunch and errands--braving the 9 inches of snow on the ground. It's so neat having a good friend right next door. Now, Jus and I are headed to the gym before I call it a night in preparation for my new job at Crestwood Pediatric that begins in the am. I'm so excited! This week was a refresher that I am so fortunate to have had.
